These Terms of Service apply to the use of the Blue Mees website and to purchases made through our online store.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights available under Belgian or applicable EU law.

1. About Blue Mees

Blue Mees is a small independent jewelry brand based in Belgium, creating colorful earrings for people who like something a little different.

Every pair starts here, in our own atelier. We don't select ready-made designs from a catalogue and simply add our name to them. Our earrings are developed from the first sketch onward — choosing the shapes, proportions, colors, acrylics and decorative elements that eventually come together in the finished design.

Some pieces are clean and geometric, others are floral, abstract or deliberately bold. What connects them is our love of color, interesting shapes and earrings that can change the feeling of an outfit without taking themselves too seriously.

2. Products

Blue Mees designs and creates jewellery and accessories, including handmade and hand-assembled products.

We make every reasonable effort to display product colours, materials, measurements and finishes accurately.

Because many products are handmade, small variations in colour, positioning or finish may occur and are part of the nature of handcrafted products.

Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.

3. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website and include applicable VAT where required.

Shipping costs and any additional charges are shown before you complete your order.

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders that have already been accepted.

In case of an obvious pricing or technical error, we may contact you before processing the order.

4. Orders

By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is correct.

After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation electronically.

Products are subject to availability.

If an ordered product becomes unavailable, we may cancel the relevant part of the order and refund the amount paid.

We may also refuse or cancel orders in cases of suspected fraud, payment problems, obvious errors or unauthorised resale.

5. Shipping, Returns and Refunds

Information about shipping, delivery times, international orders, returns, refunds and the statutory right of withdrawal can be found in our Shipping & Returns Policy.

Consumers purchasing online generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, subject to the exceptions provided by applicable law.

Nothing in our Shipping & Returns Policy affects your mandatory consumer rights.

6. Damaged or Defective Products

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or defective, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where possible, include your order number and photographs of the issue.

Consumers benefit from the statutory legal guarantee provided under Belgian and applicable EU law.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or failure to follow reasonable care instructions does not automatically constitute a product defect.

7. Jewellery Care

Jewellery should be handled and stored with appropriate care.

Exposure to water, perfume, cosmetics, chemicals, heat, moisture or impact may affect certain materials or finishes.

Any specific care instructions provided on the product page should be followed.

Individual reactions or sensitivities to materials can vary. Product material descriptions are provided to help customers make an informed choice and do not constitute a medical guarantee.

8. Intellectual Property

All Blue Mees designs, photographs, illustrations, graphics, logos, branding, website content and other creative materials are owned by or licensed to Blue Mees unless stated otherwise.

You may not reproduce, copy, manufacture from, distribute or commercially use our designs, photographs or other protected content without our prior written permission.

Purchasing a Blue Mees product does not transfer any intellectual property rights relating to the design.

9. Website Use

You may not use our website for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes.

You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, systems, accounts or data.

Commercial extraction, copying or automated reuse of substantial parts of our website or product catalogue is not permitted without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

10. Third-Party Services

Our website may use third-party services such as payment providers, delivery companies and social media platforms.

These services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Blue Mees is not responsible for the content or operation of independent third-party websites.

11. Liability

We take reasonable care to ensure that our website and product information are accurate.

However, we cannot guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law or restricts mandatory consumer rights.

12. Wholesale and B2B Orders

Wholesale and professional purchases may be subject to separate B2B or wholesale conditions.

Consumer-specific rights, including the statutory consumer right of withdrawal, do not automatically apply to professional purchases.

Where separate written terms have been agreed with a business customer, those terms take precedence in case of conflict.

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The version applicable to your purchase is the version that was in effect when your order was placed.

These Terms are governed by Belgian law, without depriving consumers of any mandatory protection available to them under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms restricts your right to use any consumer dispute resolution mechanism or court available to you under applicable law.
